Dr. Chandrashekhar Pradhan
Consultant Anaesthetist & Airway Lead in Leicester Royal Infirmary
He completed his anaesthetic training in University Hospital of Cambridge (Addenbrooke’s Hospital), and Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital. Dr Pradhan has published work in national and international journals viz. SALG (Safe Anaesthesia Liaison Group) Safety Update for Royal College of Anaesthetists and Association of Anaesthetists; and in Anaesthesia Cases. Dr. Pradhan has been a clinical tutor for East Midlands School of Anaesthesia and University Hospitals of Leicester. He has been educational and clinical supervisor for senior anaesthetic trainees for many years. He has been supervising trainees undergoing advanced training (Fellowship) in Airway Management and in Regional Anaesthesia.

Specialist experience in Ophthalmic Anaesthesia
Dr Pradhan has been anaesthetising patients for eye surgery under both, general and local anaesthetic since 1990. After his appointment as Consultant Anaesthetist with University Hospitals of Leicester, he has been providing anaesthetic expertise to manage eye patients since 2006.
He is an expert in providing local anaesthetic blocks for Cataract (with lens implant) Surgery; Glaucoma Surgery (Trabaculectomy); Vitreo-Retinal Surgery; and Corneal Surgery, including Corneal Transplant. He also provides sedation for Oculoplastic Procedures.
