Mr. Sampath is one of the few surgeons in the country who performs around a thousand specialist surgical procedures a year on the eyelid, lacrimal and orbit and surrounding structures.

The conditions Mr. Sampath treats include: cataract, eye lid position abnormalities like entropion, ectropion, ptosis, cosmetic eyelid/brow, upper face surgery, facial palsy orbital conditions like thyroid eye disease, tumours, and watering eyes socket reconstructions.

Since the eye lids both protect the eyes and nurture the vision, many patients feel more comfortable knowing that their surgeon is not only uniquely trained in the subspecialty of eyelid surgery but also very knowledgeable about the eyes. With over fifteen years of dedicated specialist training and surgical experience (both cosmetic and corrective), Mr. Sampath has a solid understanding of eyelids and surrounding structures and functions.

Mr. Sampath lectures widely in his area of expertise and runs one of the few recognised training centres in the field of Eyelid, Lacrimal and Orbital Diseases. As an Examiner for the Royal College of Ophthalmologists and a reviewer for their Journal, he also completed two full fellowships devoted entirely to corrective eyelid/periocular plastic surgery.
