With the interest in Oculoplastic started in the early days of Mrs Antonella Berry-Brincat's training when she was involved in a study on Blepharospasm while working in Plymouth. Mrs Antonella Berry-Brincat has since regularly presented at national and international conferences and has several peer-reviewed publications.

Mrs Berry-Brincat has completed extensive training in General Ophthalmology in the Birmingham Midlands Eye Centre and the West Midlands area. She further sub-specialized in Oculoplastic in Coventry, Leicester and Moorfields Eye Hospital.
Previously, Mrs Berry-Brincat worked as Consultant Ophthalmologist at United Lincolnshire Hospitals Trust (2012-2014) and Locum Consultant Ophthalmologist at Moorfields Eye Hospital and St George’s Hospital, London (2011-2012). She currently runs a busy Oculoplastic and General Ophthalmology practice in Leicester, Melton and Hinckley Hospitals. She is proficient to perform a wide range of general ophthalmic and oculoplastic procedures and regularly audits her surgical results.
She has been recently revalidated and has been appraised as performing her job proficiently and effectively. She has extensive experience in the teaching and mentorship of medical students, through her previous appointment as an Assistant Lecturer in the Anatomy Department at the University of Malta and currently as one of the Ophthalmology Undergraduate Leads at the University of Leicester Medical School. As College Tutor, she has also been heavily involved in the postgraduate training and currently is the Associate College Tutor at the Leicester Royal Infirmary.
